Palm Beach County's unemployment rate has gone up.
According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, 6.6 percent of the local workforce was looking for jobs in July. That's up from 6.1 percent in June.
Martin County's unemployment also went up by a half of a percent month-to-month, to 6.8 percent in July.
Florida's jobless rate in July was unchanged from the month before, at 6.2 percent...the same as the nation's unemployment rate.
There were 597,000 Floridians out of work in our state last month.
